Album Review:

Skeptical Minds have given us a new full length album titled "Kharon" which is apparently the continuation of Omega Thanatos (2015). The new album, nominally and lyrically, is dedicated to Kharon, the transporter of souls to the underworld of Greek mythology. A metaphorically mental acrobatic, between despair and hope, life and death.

The whole album is worked in a pleasantly unusual heavy / gothic rhythm, framed by industrial elements. Especially, "The Awakening" is a gothic ballad that includes renaissance musical elements, it has a revolutionary stoner rhythm in "Desert", a nugget of paganism in "Compass", a cinematic intro in "War Is Coming" and sound effects in the well-crafted ballad "The Path". Karolina's voice is melodically eerie, and stable in tone, despite the guitar outbursts throughout the album.

It's a very good new album of Skeptical Minds, that will not leave metal fans and lovers of the genre unmoved. 8.5/10
