In mid-2014, a new band was growing up on the Brazilian punk scene. Formed by three brothers, the band "Os Desconhecidos" made noise wherever they went playing covers and won over many fans around the world. The band went on to great success writing their own music and having released their first album in 2020, carried on for a while until they broke up at the end of 2021.
After the band broke up, the brothers Dennis and Emilly Schivittez (16 and 13 years old respectively, present day), feeling the need to continue along the path of music, gave it all in their newest project: "Demisch".
The band has the following line-up:
Dennis (vocals, guitar, drums) and Emilly (bass).
Aiming for a sound more focused on '70s rock, the duo have been received by fans of their old work and gained new fans since releasing the music video for their first song in 2022: "Nuclear Medusa."
Dennis says about the song:
<< The song takes a different view of the nuclear disaster that took place in Chernobyl, giving "life" to nuclear matter, presenting it as a creature, or rather, giving it a supernatural form that attacks those who venture to investigate the mystery that exists in the bowels of that nuclear hell >>.
In the rest of their compositions, the duo continued to bet on this style of sound, creating, composing and working on the release of their first album, while promoting their work and showing their potential.
With an interview on the São Paulo radio station "The Wall", an appearance in the Cuban rock magazine "Turbulencia Zine" and promotion on the website "Rock On Board", by journalist Ricardo Cachorrão, the first concert took place in 2022.
Demisch's work has been continually included in the programming of local radio stations (such as the webradio "Rota 77") and so the band has grown in popularity, without worrying about the difficulties, delivering quality music to rock fans.
Towards the end of the year they launched another welcome card to the world of the hard and heavy music, releasing to the platforms in October 2023, the single: "Nightmare Is Back".
And he explains:
<< This sound brings the idea of a nightmare which chases someone, and coming back to haunt, with no way out or escape, those who are chased are destined to flee until the day they meet their death >>.
The band's last appearance was on October 28 in a live broadcast to promote their long-awaited first album, released on the same day, with the name of their first song: "Nuclear Medusa".
With a considerable baggage already, - there are songs for two more albums -, the band continue to plan new things for the future, not letting rock die, while showing what they're capable of.
