Album Review:
"Left in Shards" is a ten track album, basically thrash but with many modern elements that give it a unique identity. Worked in a thrash rhythm, which does not remind us of the old-fashioned thrash that we are used hearing so far. EXA in a unique way have managed to maintain their identity as a thrash band but frame their music with a modern style so masterfully that they evolve it taking it to the next level as a new generation. Amazing album that will not leave any metal fan unmoved.

Bio of the band:
EXA are four guys from Berlin who belong to the new generation of german thrash metal. Making no compromises and having nocomparisons, they bring their own style and uniqueness out of Berlin. Founded as a school band in 2016, EXA was voted for the first place at the Metal Hammer Newcomer Contest in 2018 with the EP "IGNITE", which gave them the opportunity to perform at the Metal Hammer Paradise Festival. With the fire this EP started, the band went back to the studio to record the debut album "CUT THE PAST" which was ranked 9/10 by magazines like DEAF FOREVER, METAL HAMMER and ROCKHARD and gave them the title of "The Testament of a new generation" (LEGACY MAGAZINE).This resulted in the offer for opening shows for big acts like Power Trip, DRI, Nervosa, Gruesome, Pro - Pain and Misery Index to name a few. After entering SPOTIFYS biggest editorial thrash metal playlist in 2022 and signing with ESP GUITARS, ENGL AMPS and M.A.D. TOURBOOKING. In 2023 the band is back now with the second album LEFT IN SHARDS, which will be a must have for fans of Metallica, Testament, Exodus, Slayer, Pantera and Kreator.
