Debut EP of Ormsdóttir entitled "Children Of Sin" released January 27, 2024

It's not easy being a one man band. You should be a multi-instrumentalist / vocalist and do all the mixing / recording / production yourself. That's exactly what multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Danilo Pinto aka Danilo Rakkaus did on his debut EP. He is a one man band named Ormsdóttir from Brazil created in 2021 and plays doom/heavy metal. Influenced, as he says, by the late Thomas 'Quorthon' Forsberg, creator of Bathory, is determined to write his own music.

EP Review:

The rhythm of all three tracks of the EP is a basic doom rhythm, with touches of Black Sabbath, heavy, slow and simple, without much variety in the guitar riffs and with several repetitions, simple classic drums, in all technically very well executed, and with simple vocals. Production is not particularly attractive, making the sound not clear enough.
For a debut EP from a newly formed one man band, it's fair to say that the effort is adequate. Let's hope that in the future it will develop into a band with more members and better quality production, because I think it has a lot to give.

Ormsdóttir's debut EP "Children Of Sin" is not for many, it is for listeners and fans of old school doom/black heavy metal. 7/10
