EP Review:

First EP for Martyrs Cry consisting of 4 well crafted compositions of classic heavy metal. Amazing guitar riffs and solos, the drums sometimes combative and sometimes more subtle, the bass keeps the tempo so the guitars can meander and the amazing vocals sometimes sound hypochthony and sometimes melodic to giving extra theatricality to the incredible performance.

In the 22 minutes of the EP, the experienced musicians generously offer us an incredible musical journey full of quality heavy metal. For all those who love heavy metal music.

Short Bio

MARTYRS CRY is the vision turned reality of songwriter, media personality and Trick Drums USA artist Ray "Trenton" Thomann, who’s instrumental in the band’s creative direction.

In 2021, the foundation for Martyrs Cry was solidified with the addition of Georgia based guitarist and producer, Alex Stephens. It’s at that time, that Ray shared the original demos he wrote and recorded for Martyrs Cry. The two then collaborated on the first four tracks and realized their chemistry made for much more than a project. MARTYRS CRY was officially launched!

During the recording of the band’s self-titled album, they decided to put out a special edition EP, SYMPHONY OF REBELLION – VOLUME ONE. Ray felt led to connect with former Metal Church lead vocalist and Trans Siberian Orchestra member Ronny Munroe.

The initial tracks were sent to Munroe who agreed to be a part of the project. Martyrs Cry also enlisted Jesse Ringo, a seasoned session bassist out of Georgia.

Symphony of Rebellion – Volume One was officially released in January 2024. It was mixed, mastered and produced by Alex Stephens at his Dirt Romeo Productions studio in Georgia.

Martyrs Cry is looking forward to seeing our fans on the 2024 BREAKING THE CHAINS TOUR.
