Album Review:

The rockers Sonic Wolves with their third album, want to drag us into a sea of psychedelic rock.

The album opens with "Shapeshifter" a mix of 70's style rock feast and psychedelic heavy/rock sound. "O.B.E" is a complex 11-minute Instrumental composition that showcases the musical skills of the three virtuoso musicians through complex and fast drums, amazing guitar riffs and a great bass solo.

Next track "Dead to the World", which is subversive psychedelic rock with a great guitar solo. "Dark Recollection" a wonderful composition in a heavy rock rhythm bordering on stoner, and we arrive at "Heavy Lies the Crown" a refined heavy rock composition of a slow stoner rhythm that ends in an amazing psychedelic blues that literally hypnotizes you. Next track "The Ten Doors" starts with a bomb explosion sound effect and a war report, in fast rock which at the end changes tempo and becomes heavy and slow.

"Won't Be Their Fool" an amazing composition mixing psycho-rock with punk/rock n' roll, and last on the list "Gotta Do It Right" which is a great composition of heavy rock n' roll.

In total "III" by Sonic Wolves is a subversive album of 8 wonderful tracks mixing psychedelic rock with doses of stoner, heavy rock n' roll and blues with revolutionary old style rock vocals. Ideal for all those who love quality rock music.

Short bio:

Sonic Wolves is an Italian heavy rock'n'roll band, formed in 2012 by drummer Gianni Giorgio Vitarelli (ex-Ufomammut and currently in Rogue State) and bassist and singer Kathlynn Elizabeth Vigil (ex-Pentagram, The Hounds of Hasselvander…Of The Horizon , Syzslak, Hatchetface, ZED, etc., also currently in Rogue State). In the summer of 2022 the band began a collaboration with Nicolalessandro Nigro (ex-Mortuary Drape, Eroded and currently in Suicide Force) on guitar.

The band released their debut album "Before The End Comes" in 2016, followed in 2018 by their second full-length self-titled album "Sonic Wolves". In 2016 and 2017, two 7” singles were also released, "He Said" and "He Said tour ed".

Spring 2022 saw the release of a 12" EP, "It's All A Game To Me", featuring two original songs as a tribute to Lemmy and Cliff Burton.

In March 2024, their third full-length album "III" was released by Argonauta Records.
