Album Review:

It's been six months since Shadows Of Steel released their 4th full length album ''Twilight II'' which is the following of the EP ''Twilight'' (1998) and the complement to the EP ''Twilight II'' (2022).

The album includes stormy speed power metal in 6 compositions, a ballad and 5 covers. This album has it all and won't leave anyone complaining.

Lyrically, it is something between fantasy and reality, transporting the listener to a dreamlike place that can only be shaken by the explosive compositions that set the lyrics to music. We hear fast guitar riffs, galloping drums, adventurous keyboards, great guitar solos and all this tied to a symphonic orchestration. Wild Steel's wide vocal range impressively glorifies the fantastical world of the lyrics.

In this literally explosive album, we take a deep breath in "Crystal" the fifth track which is a wonderful symphonic ballad with a haunting rhythm guitar and melodic vocals.

Of course I have to mention the 5 musical arrangements of old metal songs, which Shadows Of Steel brought to life by giving them a new dynamic breath and in my opinion I can say that they now sound fresh and much more pleasant than the original one's compositions.

Shadows Of Steel's "Twilight II" is a tsunami album in speed power metal and is a worthy representation of this impressive genre of metal music in every way. It can satisfy the most demanding fan of power metal.
