HELL DIEST COMES WITH SECOND EDITION OF THEIR FESTIVAL CALLED HELL OPEN AIR!
HELL OPEN AIR 2025 – 2, 3 and 4 May - Linter – (Helen-Bosstraat z/n, 3350 Linter)
HELL OPEN AIR is a new, small-scale metal festival that, after a first successful edition on May 4 and 5, 2024 in Diest, will pitch its tents in Linter in 2025.
The site in Diest next to Club Hell - home of Hell Events, vzw - where the first edition took place is no longer available and an extensive search in cooperation with the events office of the City of Diest remained without result.
The choice finally fell on Linter where Melkrock and the alternative roots festival Picking Bones took place in the past. Besides a well located and easily accessible site, the organization can also count on a smooth cooperation with the city council of Linter.
The second edition of HELL OPEN AIR on May 2, 3 and 4, 2025 expands to 3 festival days and offers the possibility of camping near the festival site.
Parking is free and is within walking distance of the festival site.
On Friday, May 2, doors open at 5 p.m. the Alcatraz Bash finale will take place where the 4 winners of the Alcatraz Bash preliminaries will battle each other for the coveted stage spot at Alcatraz 2025. We will close with PROMISE DOWN and EVIL INVADERS.
On Saturday, May 3, the doors swing open as early as 8 a.m. and DEFEROXA will provide a smooth digestion of breakfast from 9:30 a.m. onwards. From 2 p.m., the tribute to the 1991 Monsters Of Rock festival in Hasselt starts with the tribute bands RELODER (Metalcovers), MINDCRIME (Queensryche), MÖTLEY KRËW (Mötley Crue), TWISTED SISTERS (Twisted Sister), MEATALLICA (Metallica) and POWERAGE (AC/DC).
On Sunday, May 4, the doors will reopen at 8 a.m. and you can have breakfast from 9 a.m. to the tunes of #40SOMETHING, FLOOD and BLEEDSKIN. From 12h00 the following bands will provide your Sunday portion of metal : ANCIENT SETTLERS, FABULAE DRAMATIS, GWENDYDD, BLOODHUNTER, SERAPIS PROJECT, ROSALIE CUNNINGHAM, ANCIENT RITES, EXUMER and HEIDEVOLK as headliner.
In between bands, check out the THIRST AID where DJ SKULLZ and COSMICMASSEUR will be on duty record riders. Here, in addition to the regular bar, there is also the regional beer bar where local regional beers can be enjoyed by the glass.
Campingsite opens on Friday, May 2 from 10 a.m. and closes on Monday at noon. Toilets and showers are free. RVs, caravans and tents are welcome but spaces are limited, order your camping tickets early.
