Symphonic/Melodic Death Metal band from Knoxville, EONIAN, Announce the Release Date of their NEW Album "Born From Ice"
Symphonic/Melodic Death band Eonian is proud to announce the release of their new album, "Born From Ice", set to drop digitally on March 31st. Blending elements of Black, Death, Melodeath and Power Metal with sweeping orchestral arrangements and choirs, this 8-track concept album promises to deliver an all-encompassing epic sound. This powerful new record features several special guest appearances, including Rosalía Sairem (Therion), Oliver Palotai (Kamelot), Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius), Grant Truesdell (Unleash the Archers), and Christopher Amott (ex-Arch Enemy). The album was produced remotely, with recording sessions taking place across the globe, and was ultimately mixed and mastered by Nik Palivos at Haunting Studios (Greece).
“The concept for Born From Ice was deeply personal,” says Jaume Antuñano, guitarist and founder of Eonian. “It was inspired by the IVF journey my wife and I went through, and the birth of our child. I wanted to capture that story in an epic, larger-than-life way. The lyrics are filled with references to real life events, woven together like a fantasy tale. To make it even more personal, we even included a scream from our baby in one of the tracks!”
Antuñano also states: “This is the last album I’ll be doing under the Eonian name as a solo project, but it’s only the beginning of something new. Eonian became a full-fledged band during the recording of Born From Ice and I'm thrilled to say that we are already working on album #3!”
Pre-orders of "Born From Ice" are now live on Bandcamp.
A brand-new single titled "Blood of My Blood" is available from February 7th in all streaming platforms. If you are a fan of Epica, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Cradle of Filth, or Amon Amarth, "Born From Ice" is your next must-listen.

Bio:
Eonian is a Symphonic/Melodic Death Metal band hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee. The band draws inspiration from acts such as Fleshgod Apocalypse, Epica, Amon Amarth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and SepticFlesh.
Initially the solo project of Spanish guitarist Jaume Antuñano, Eonian debuted with a 5-track EP entitled "The Nomad" in 2021. This album was produced entirely online and featured 11 guest musicians from across the globe. In 2022, Antuñano brought in renowned guitarist Christopher Amott (ex-Arch Enemy) for a special collaboration on a cover of ABBA's classic "Lay All Your Love on Me". This cover is included in Eonian's upcoming album, "Born From Ice", set to be released on March 31st 2025.
"Born From Ice" continues the project's global approach, enlisting a roster of over a dozen guest musicians including Rosalía Sairem (Therion), Oliver Palotai (Kamelot), Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius), Grant Truesdell (Unleash the Archers), and many more. During the creation of "Born From Ice", Antuñano expanded the band’s lineup, bringing in three talented musicians—Carlos Muñoz, Ricardo Figueroa, and Nathan Cook—who have now officially joined Eonian as permanent members. Alongside them is the band’s new vocalist, Jon Sachse, completing the current lineup.
